The Island Charity Swim is both a physical challenge for the competitors and a significant funding source for the remarkable and motivational kids of the Sunshine Coast Special Schools. In addition to being a tough challenge, completing it ensures your admission to the exclusive club known as swimming folklore, which is only open to those who meet the requirements for sponsorship and finish the course.
It takes 10 kilometres to swim from Mudjimba Beach around Mudjimba Island to Mooloolaba Beach. All swimmers must have received the requisite training for the competition. The 2023 Island Charity Swim is on May 6.
AO National Marathon Championships 2023
Get ready for three days of distance racing as the annual Australian Outriggers sprint championships return from May 26 to 28. All Junior and Senior outriggers are welcome to participate and compete for a National Title.
With ten race events, this three-day competition is a beautiful celebration of athletic prowess, collaboration, brotherhood, and leadership. In the OC1, OC2, V1, and OC6 events, all paddlers and teams compete to be the nation’s best distance paddlers. The inaugural 10 km and 16 km Australian Va’a Solo Championships are also taking place this year. The National Marathons welcome competitors from Australia and abroad with a comprehensive competition schedule.
