Went running during lockdown? Put your new and improved stamina up to the test at this year’s Sunshine Coast Marathon!
Sunshine Coast Marathon 2021 is just a few months away and will feature a range of distanced runs for all ages and capabilities.
Whether you’re an experienced runner or first-timer, Sunshine Coast Marathon is an event that can be done competitively, just for fun or for charity.
Distances include the RMHC SEQ 2km, Cricks 5km, 10km, McDonald’s Half Marathon (21km) and the main 42km Sunshine Coast Marathon.
All runs will start and finish at the Alexandra Headlands Surf Club, offering scenic flat circuits and, of course, ideal winter temperatures for running.
And for those taking part competitively, there will be prize money up for grabs in a host of age categories.
Not a runner, you say? No worries – come along to soak up the atmosphere and cheer on the participants!
Sunshine Coast Marathon 2021 will take place over one whole weekend on August 14 and August 15.

Queensland Garden Expo 2021 will bring together the region’s best exhibitors and garden experts in one location, with over 55 nurseries selling rare and common plant species and another must-see Floral Design Competition and Display.
There will be over 100 free talks on 8 stages, plus different workshops on gardening, plant-based remedies and ailments, plus growing your own organic produce.
Kids under 15 go free, and will be able to enjoy craft activities, seed planting, playground attractions and more!
