The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the Sunshine Coast’s beach Anzac Day Dawn Service in 2020 and 2021. Nonetheless, the dawn service made a comeback last year. And this Anzac Day 2023 will again be at Mooloolaba Beach in front of the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club.
On April 25, The Surf Club Mooloolaba will officially welcome the community to Mooloolaba Beach with the ANZAC Day Dwan Service, beginning at 4:55 am. The Surf Club Mooloolaba and Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club members who served in the Vietnam War and numerous veterans invest a lot of work each year into planning the ANZAC DAY Dawn Ceremony. To remember and honour all Australians who have served or are now serving, about 10,000 members of the community come together.
